This was to be the first long distance walk that Karen and I commenced together, with a view of doing the whole 90 mile route together! Though of course she has joined me for sections of my other walks many times before. We started it in the early autumn of 2003 hoping to complete it by spring 2004, though of course, with walking over winter, our success would very much be down to the winter weather.

The walk is very much a none official long distance path, and was supposedly devised around Youth Hostels for accommodation. It has no official waymarks of its own and is the first such walk I have done, but finding our way has proved easy so far, especially with the very helpful guidebook that we are using, written by Rob Haslam - 'White Peak Way' published by Cicerone Press (ISBN 1-85284-056-0). It is as usual available online from Guideposts.

So far it has proved to be a very enjoyable walk so click below to see the pictures, maps and information about the route so far!
