At one point the route of Centenary Way passes quite close to where I live, and I had come across waymarkers for it many years ago on my numerous wanderings around the area. Since its discovery I had always wanted to walk the whole 100 miles. Until the early summer of 2001, when Rob and I started this attempt, I had only managed to walk from Kingsbury Water Park to Hawkesbury Junction near Bedworth on two separate days.

The pages that follow, describe our walk in photographs and words, so click on the links below to go to the pages for each day of walking.

There are 11 leaflets describing the route published by Warwickshire County Council, which are available from local libraries and council offices. Rob and I, however, used the first independent step by step guidebook, written by Geoff Allen and John Roberts and published by Walkways.

The guidebook is available from Guideposts.
